Connor loves, loves, loves TRAINS. So we had a surprise for him today.
"What is it, Dad? Is it a toy? What's in my surprise? Where is it?"
"Well, we have to drive to go get it."
"To the store?"
"No, you'll see."
Connor feel asleep on the way to Horseshoe Bend. We pulled into the parking lot and told Connor to wake up -
"Look, Connor! There's a train!"
"Where?"
"Right there...out your window!"
"Can I get out?"
"Yep. That's your surprise."
"I'm going to get on that train!"
Connor had a blast. We all did. The weather wasn't great - it was raining. But mother nature cooperated for the second half of the ride and the sun broke free from the clouds. It was a beautiful 3 hr train ride with a stop for an Easter egg hunt. We rode the old rail north of Boise right along the Payette River; from rolling hills into the forest. We can't wait to go again. This was a terrific family outing.
